I just stumbled on some demos I recorded in 1982 with my old #466 ironwod stick. Here's a snippet of a song (before tracking the vocals). At that time, I would record on a TEAC 8 track machine. I think there were still flatwound strings on the Stick but the bass side sounded quite fat. Check it out.

Very fat indeed! i am using an ironwood #1136. In 90's I had a chance to buy a graphite model but i much preferred the sound of the Ironwood.
