My first solo stick tune!
Well, here it is! It's not perfect, but its 3am, and the chances of final cut pro, logic, and my hands all operating as they should.... well, i refer you to the title of the tune This is new territory for me, so I could definitely use some feedback on this.... Enjoy! I don't think I'll ever get this whole youtube code thing right....

Re: My first solo stick tune!
there are ideas enough for 2 songs in there! I really like that opening unison line you do.
Well played!

Re: My first solo stick tune!
Nice playing and composition. Adding some percussion and possibly keyboard comping to the background would complete it. Or that's what I was hearing. Either way, you've got a winner.

Bravo!!!! I loved it.... Tone was awesome, playing was solid and most of all I really loved the song and the musicality of what you've created. Please please continue to write and create. You have something to offer.

Re: My first solo stick tune!
That is fan-freaking-tastic! I *really* really like it. Very creative, very nice execution and not bad as a music video either!
The only comment I would make is that there is a lot going on here - as a fool with no attention span, it's hard for me to follow the structure. Now, that's a completely legit approach (see Mahler). I could also imagine that this tune could be deconstructed and reassembled as more than one song.
Oh, and I would also submit that this is a GREAT TUNE, not a GREAT SOLO STICK TUNE. As I was listening, I was imagining a kind of Latin drum beat and maybe horns as part of the arrangement. It would be really cool to hear what you might come up with as part of an ensemble!
Great work, man! Thanks for sharing!

I also want to say Dude that was really, really good. One of the reasons is kuz this tune breathes. Using silence as music. I have to study from you. Thats one of the problems with my stuff.
