Post Recoding: Grand/Stickup=Bassline!!!
I just used my new Stickup on the Grand for a bassline in this short film music cue and I'm very pleased with how the bass sound fits in under the high notes from the SG12/PASV4. Two fantastic instruments that complements each other so well in the recording studio.

It's beautiful. I would have put the volume of the bass part a bit lower though. What do you think? Nice job.

That's a good point, it might as well end up that way. Right now I'm just churning out cues for the film editing process. The music will have to work with dialog, sync sound, picture and storyboard so there will probably be a need for several changes to make all pieces fit together. This particular scene is filmed inside a running car and I'm hoping the editor will be able to fit the bassline into the car's engine sound - but that's just a guess of mine; I haven't been able to see the shootings yet. Maybe that idea doesn't work, or maybe it glues too well and takes over focus from the movie - in those cases we'll come up with something else.

It's fun to do this...I did it but so many years ago...in the '70s...

I just like what you do and I can easily imagine the results...good luck.
