Dubyasee videos
After a little discussion elsewhere on the forum, I got motivated to offer up couple video examples of me playing at home.
The sound is through an Acoustic Image Coda combo amp into the built-in mic that came in my iMac. Hopefully in the future, I'll get a better method of getting the audio besides the built-in mic
You can access the vids at either You Tube or MySpace via the links below. I couldn't continue with Dubyasee as a screen nick on You Tube, so I just goofed the "Bloozintro" moniker.

Re: Dubyasee videos
Very cool!
This is inspiring me to try to follow suit. I might need to have multiple takes to get it right but I'll do it one of these days. I haven't listened at a good volume yet but softly, on a little computer speaker, they sound good. I especially like seeing how you are doing some things. I've been listening to your MySpace tunes for a while and seeing you play is great.
Thanks,
-Eric

Re: Dubyasee videos
Hey, good to see ya Dubyasee! I really like to actually see other people play. Apart from getting an idea of how they are doing stuff it's also good to see what people look like!
Nice playing. I noticed the sync as well, it's a common problem with YouTube.
Do you have Garageband software? I usually video myself playing, and record the stereo sound straight into GB. I then put the two together using iMovie.

Re: Dubyasee videos
Thank you everybody for the encouraging words.
I played my Grand Stick/Pas4 through an Acoustic Image Coda amp. The built-in mic/camera on my Apple iMac is what I used to record the vids... down and dirty.
I'd love to clean up the sound and eliminate synching issues, but hopefully, that'll come with new experiments. I've got an Mbox USB interface that I'd like to use to pick up the audio. Hopefully, that'll be more "hi-fi".
Thanks again fellow Stickistas.

I record into 2 separate channels in Garageband, set up usually with different sounds. Play around a bit with the sound afterwards and then save as an mp3 file and drop it into the iMovie file. Tweak a bit to get the sync right then save as a movie file. Dead easy and everything came with the mac other than the tiny 1/8 converter which cost about £1.

Re: Dubyasee videos
Really nice stuff!! It's much more enjoyable to see a performance then listen to a recording. It's so much more ... pure!
SOMEDAY I'll HAVE to get a camera and a youtube site so I can contribute. Oh yeah ... I'll have to get a lot better in the Stick 1st too!
Keep it up Walter ... very nice!
