Bob Culbertson does it again. Here's a Stick-style you probably haven't seen yet. Wow...

So anyone else tried to emulate the fretless sound? I think you have to lower the action on the treble side before you can get any real sound from it, unfortunately..

I think the real brain twister here is that your hand moves opposite than normal. Move toward the bridge to make a lower pitch and towards the nut to make a higher pitch.

How much more is there to be discovered ... ?

Dang it Bob, I have tons of work to do, it's painful how much this video makes me want to play!

Wow, leave it to Bob!
You notice his LEFT hand pinky finger remains flat against the frets ON THE MELODY SIDE the whole time. Bob is making his pinky into a HUMAN CAPO, a concept he has been exploring on the Stick in some of his recent videos.

so he was pulling off to a bevy of stacked 4ths, especially during the body of the work doing Eddie Van Halenesque two note pulloffs to the pinky capo fret ( Eddie would have done to open strings)

HIs Right thumb doing harmonic histrionics emulating a thrash tabla when he was "fretlessing" against his Stickup. I didn't see any fingernail polish or masking tape on his Stickup, so maybe he used his screw poll pieces as gauge marks as to where to hit the notes and double stop that one two string 4th.

All in all, the wheel gets reinvented by humble Bob C who gets respect the old fashioned way- by winning our hearts and by being just Bob.
His humbleness and honest personality shines through in all his incredible playing. *
thanks Marty for finding this,

I've seen the same thing than Kevin (sitar and tablas) and Dave (DBro) about the left pinky...wow...an amazing job.
