My first Stick recording
Just finished my first Stick song..... I know this isn't 'traditional' use of the Stick, but it's what I did https://www.dropbox.com/s/wm0njeefepdtjzj/Springtime%20KS%20MP.mp3?dl=0Instrumentation is Stick, Autoharp, Horns and Drums. I overdubbed the melody side....when I grow up, I'll be able to play it live. The Bass side is an NS I borrowed from a forum member. The Melody side is a 10 string I bought from a forum member. Bass side is direct through a Jensen XFormer passive DI into a Funkenwerks Tube Pre/DBX 165 mixed with an Ampeg B15 (60's) and a Spring Reverb. The Fuzzed stuff is an MXR Mini FuzzFace. Gaff tape on the bass strings. Melody side is through an 18W Amp I built with an Eventide H9 and a MiniFuzzFace. Enjoy John

Autoharp. bought an old one recently '74 15 bar w/ p.u. restringinging/retuning it w/ old Stick strings. got lotsa em and a micrometer. i saw someone playing one w/ dulcimer hammers.../ cool tune. im fond of the "screwing w/ the equipment" philosophy.

Re: My first Stick recording
Excellent work! The song is hynotic and the all the performances really draw the listener in. There's feeling in every note. The bass line makes me want to listen again because of the tone and the way it's played. Great job!

Spectacular! Dripping with atmosphere, great dynamics, and WHAT a voice! David Lynch would have an accident in his pants if he got to hear this. If I had a hat, I would take it off to you.

Superb! Reminds me of Goldfrapp. Fabulous singer, amazing atmosphere. If was in A&R, I'd sign you on the spot. Keep'em coming.
