Post Zoot Amadeus Sketch - A Progress Video
Okay, just had a lesson today, then I practiced a bunch, and then I got hung up on this simple minor 145; lol jammed over it for an hour or so, and then I decided to make a video. of it...

So, it is what it is. A bit of moving forward, a bit of tragic terribleness, and a dose of my guitar self wanting in on this, all the while I'm being forced to listen to this while I play. I got the 'ole Gopro out, and decided to document it, 'cause it has been a sort of 'habit' today, kinda like Montezuma's... lol

Oh hey it isn't over JUST yet, I decided to take the riff into Logic after I made the video and actually record it. Of course, it turned out really different, I played differently, and had a lot of different ideas. And I get to not only LISTEN to the crap I played, but I also get to SEE the timing errors on really noob stuff. That's okay, 'cause it will get better. It IS getting better.

So yeah, mostly natural minor all the way through, but I decided I really liked that maj6 over the Imin today. That's the last note I end on on the intro and the outro; all pentatonic minor up in trip6's ending on that maj 6th interval. It's my guitar self trying to get some action... hahaha

Awright. Bed time.

Good fun.

Wow! That's sort of a thing I do every day, but I'm still working on the left hand just keeping it as an arpeggio while the right travels the scales...
Gonna steal your iddea and try it your way if you don't mind - I really like the left hand rhythm :) Great post, thanks!!

Bach, Alain, thanks for taking the time to check it out. I find that just playing and listening as I go isn't quite the same as listening/watching "after the fact". Haha learning as I go on this amazing instrument.

Hey Per, thanks for checking it out. I had a bit of a revelation/Epiphany the day after doing this, in regards to note location and string /scale relationships and all of that good stuff. I really look forward to doing another progress video soon!

This week I gotta buckle down, It's Minor Swing time, And Django and Stephane's solos are up for grabs...

Hitman; thanks for checkin' it out! I am an absolute amateur at this instrument -But I am making good progress I think! With a little help from my friends, it's getting there!

(I had to quit guitar cold turkey, though!)
