"Ozmosis" - live improv piece from 2005 Ann Arbor
hi everyone, Thanks to Japhlet for sending me his minidisc recording of a 12-minute jam I played at the 2005 Ann Arbor Stick Seminar. You can find "Ozmosis" here: http://www.greghoward.com/mp3/Ozmosis.mp3

Thanks Greg. I enjoyed that very much. Loved the lush reverb from the SE-70s and the transformation into the Canon.
I remember that whole performance night at Oz's. If memory serves correctly, we were just about to start when the massive thunderstorms moved in and we had to shut it all down for a while.
Very cool!

That was insane. I was driving over with Louis, and just before we got there, the street just became a grey mass, and the trees were bent over touching the street! The car even moved a little bit. It was kinda scary. Then it passed. When I was playing, I remember looking out the window and John was smoking outside (and not wet...). That weekend was extremely inspiring...

Yeah this is an amazing improv. I have listened to it for like 2 years now, ha! I feel that it is a classic Greg improv where there are these atmopheres and themes that completely inspire the imagination. It is my favorite style of his, where there is a mix of glorious ambience and serious playing.
