Post Reflective - LinnStrument and Sampled Instruments
"Reflective" is my first piece that is almost entirely sample based - Drums (Superior Drummer), Fretless Bass (Trillian), Guitars (Orange Tree Samples Dracus), Piano (NI Una Corda), Viola (Sample Modeling), and Violin (Applied Acoustic Systems String Studio V2). Everything was controlled by LinnStrument except for the drums (Zendrum) and certain guitar parts which worked better on a regular keyboard.

Thanks for listening!

Jeremy

Jeremy,

Each instrument so clear and distinct. I love the Trillian bass. The guitar rythym is warm and services the song, letting the lead strings breath and soar. I liked the change at various parts, especially where we go darker, and then come back. The guitars sounded really good. I really couldn't tell that they were sampled throughout. A nice tasty arrangement and some good jamming. Some noisy noise and grit as well, to make it bleed.

Damn, Jeremy. This really starts rocking. I'm at 4:30---and then we take it down. Sweet--nice drop in energy, as we build back up to another release. Oh, we're slow jamming out, not building back up. Still, nice change in mood and energy here!

Your mix here has a lot going on in it but there is nice separation between the various instruments. I'm really digging this mellow flow we go on here, as we fade out.

WOW! That was really something spectacular, there, Jeremy. I liked that a lot. Very well done!

--Steve

Thank you! The guitar sample libraries have improved so much in the past few years.
