Wow, wow, wow! Pete, that was great! I loved your melody tone--pure and sharp and very synthlike. And then we kick into the song, which was just great, too!

The stained glass window is a phenomenal touch! The new geetar looks sweet as well!

Thanks, for the encouragement. Soloing continues to be a steep climb. Man I wish I had more time also being about 30 years younger would be nice too! ;)

The intro was using the "volume swell effect" then feeding into the "Octo reverb" on the line6 hd 500. "Octo reverb" is a little bit like Lexicon's shimmer but not near as pretty! Much fun.

Pete, I'd be super curious to hear about what all you are working on/practicing in "study mode"...

Fill us in, man!

Sure thing and thanks for the encouragement!!

I'm working on a cover of George Benson's - Affirmation. Note for note study on his solo. I have the notes, just can't play them up to speed and as smooth as it needs to be. Sure wasn't written for tappers(Next video I hope). After that I'd love to cover "Four on Six" but soloing on it with walking bass line is a bear!

From a study point of view, still working on ii/v7/I with Jamey Aebersold books along with Frank Gambale technique book 1 & 2. Also working on the pentatonics in regards to being able to blend the different patterns to move more vertically vs "one box" etc..

I have to give Kudos to Frank Gambale who lit a fire under my seat about 2 years ago at a seminar, the big takeaway is that I try to do something new or at least stretch/expand on whatever I know so I'm constantly moving forward at least off camera (LOL) anyways. What is that old saying "If you sound good at practice you're probably not making any progress" I wish I had learned this before being in my damn 50's!!!
