Check to see if you have the quantize button selected under per split settings, pitch, second row down....

Stick players are an adventurous bunch - always willing to try new things. It is amazing to me that Stickists show up playing LinnStrument, Zendrum and other controllers. You have jumped in head first and are sounding great!

Thanks, Jeremy! I hear you on your latest this morning playing NS, Zendrum, Linnstrument, and the like. You're the inspiration!

The unintentional pitch bending might be a by-product of the plug-in. I love the Orange Tree Sample libraries for their realism but pitch bending is not as precise as synth plugins. As I understand it, this is partly due to Kontakt. I am not sure if the latest updates to Kontakt will eventually allow for more nuanced playing. The most expressive plugins (and most expensive) I have found are the Sample Modeling Instruments but you can get great results from plugins like Equator from Roli and Synthmaster. If you have a Mac and Logic or Mainstage, there is a file you can download with presets set up by Roger. I have a version of this file I am constantly tweaking.

Roger is very responsive to questions - that is how I met him in the first place. He is a big fan of the Stick too.

I'm going to play with that this afternoon and see if I can smooth that out. thanks for the suggestions. I'm also going to try Linn's Logic settings from his website like you recommended. And I have Equator and the other Roli products. I've also heard they work well but I haven't tried them yet. This was literally my second time plugging in the LinnStrument into Pro Tools and then trying a few patches. I never even made it off the Strawberry patch before I had to lay down a line. I'll keep playing with it. I've heard Kontackt doesn't play nicely with the LinnStrument unless you open several instances of it, and assign a track to a string.

Thanks again, Jeremy!

Why do only superheroes get theme songs? Here is Super Evil Blues in the key of D, played in a Mountain Fortress Volcano of Doom. "Supervillain Blues."

All tracks done with the LinnStrument. Strawberry Guitar, Vacuum keyboards (2 bass patches layered together), and NI Studio Drummer.

I took 15 seconds of fractals, and then CGI'd the heck out of them. Then I took those 15 seconds and CGI'd them further, to make "Portal Patrol," with my tune "Supervillain Blues," in the key of Eeeeevil.

Done with Mandelbulber and After Effects.

Portal Patrol, "Supervillain Blues"
