This summer, my friend Tom Kraus came over to record a series of improvised pieces for our Duets release. He played a new song for me inspired by the story of Janusz Korczak, a doctor and educator who, along with Stefania Wilczyńska, worked tirelessly to save the lives of orphans in the Warsaw ghetto. Despite many opportunities to save his own life, he opted to stay with the children of the orphanage. He perished in Treblinka in 1942.

This work in progress features Tom’s song with added orchestral parts and instrumental sections with LinnStrument violin and acoustic bass. The guitars and vocals will be added as we finish the music and arrangements.

Wonderful!!! I especially enjoy the harmony, modern classical a la Messiaen along with true ethnic sounds. Great!!

Powerful stuff.

Upon casual listening, it would take a far keener ear than mine to determine that the violin and double bass weren't authentic. A testament to your proficiency on it, and to the modeling capabilities of the LinnStrument. Most impressive.
