...white background, one guitar, one actor...
...dancing, not with the feet, but with arms, hands and fingers, a ballet selfsame...
...indeed a perfect event, perhaps too perfect...
...(dear Alain, we both have the same nails)...
...eightteen years old player, oblique rearward the white background a professional music industry, composer(s), arranger(s), stage director(s), sound designer(s), what ever you want...
...what should we think after looking such you tubes?...
...what can we really know, having seen this new kind of karaoke?...
...only some rash thoughts of mine, forgiveness please...
...and then the examples of Scott Kerr, they just talkin' to me: we don't need another liar...

What exactly do you mean? Not sure what you are insinuating... calling me a liar?

Hey Scott, I think it’s the exact opposite of that... he’s saying the lie is in the excess production of the kid’s video - making it impossible to know if he really does all that with such perfection. And that the one’s you posted are the ones that talk to him, that he likes...
Either way, the kid is performing live with that so, he must do it, to some degree at least.

Scott, I took it as positive. What Rodrigo said.

Can you imagine what most musicians or bands would sound like,
with no effects pedals, no reverb, just a raw instrument output?

I know of one guy who does this with ease...

great playing, with tons of reverb, however,... And it should have reverb...

It's really not easy to get something to sound good just recording direct with no effects...

I was thinking about this and thought this Railboard video was pretty dry, intended to show off the instrument's unvarnished sound...

Could it benefit from some processing? sure!, but that wasn't really the point....

If you are trying to make an artistic statement, then consider what that means as far as production is concerned. If you're just trying to show something off, consider how much more impressed people will be if it also sounds good.
