I wanted to capture the old time feel of this beautiful song from 1931. The accompaniment is played on an 8 string tapping instrument. The melody is played on a similar instrument but one with no frets and using an EBow. The melody sound kind of reminds me of a theremin.

The tuning on both instruments is the same. It is just like an NS/Stick. From low to high pitch, starting on B as on a 5 string bass- B E A D G C F Bb

Thanks! I fell in love with this song when Cass Elliott covered it. Then I discovered the duet by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong (IMO the absolute best definitive rendition).
I have the sheet music for the arrangement of the Ella/Louis recording, and hope to figure out a Stick arrangement using it someday.
