Post Interesting stuff...
My friend Darren in Tokyo, primarily a guitarist, posted a track on soundcloud.com here :

http://soundcloud.com/spectrum_one

He "sang/recorded/wrote/mixed/mastered(light)" the whole thing. Interesting stuff and a nice clean sound. Talented guy.
The guitar solo which kicks in around 1:58 is definitely worth a listen in my opinion...
Enjoy !

A very interesting piece, a lot of work, knowledge, and listening went into that for sure.
Of all the influences that I hear in the song are, believe it or not; Hatfield And The North
and of course Allan Holdsworth  Nice 8-)

Thanks for the hint - that was a nice retro track! Cool that some people of today cares to write and play in that style! But the double tracked guitar power chords might not totally fit the -75 idiom? Hatfield And The North was my favorite band back then. As were Gentle Giant, that kind of also echoes through this song :-)

Gosh, I haven't heard the name 'Hatfield and the North' for a very long time... ( am I really getting that old ? :? ) - but it's a nice compliment to the track and quite fitting...
I've heard another of Darren's tracks which is really quite mind-blowing - he somehow seems to be able to do that AH pitch-shifting-vibrato thing in a way I've not heard anyone else get as close to. (Must get around to putting a Stick in his hands some time...)
