They look really cool -- i've always wanted to try one. I'd be curious to hear what anyone has to offer.

Yes, it would be interesting to hear about some hands-on impressions of Markus instruments! While waiting, here's about the original Touch Guitar, patented by Dave Bunker in 1958:

Dave Bunker can definitely play those touch guitars, and his regular guitars I've heard nothing but good things about (I actually really want one of his headless/fretless 6 string basses) -- But, man, that touch guitar just looks SO awkward.

I played one and it was a really well built instrument with a unique sonic pallet. It did not have the low end that the Stick has, nor did I find it as comfortable to play... In my mind, one is not better than the other... they are just different tools. Same with the Warr... just a different tool for different players and different sonic explorations. I have played both, and find the Stick still most interesting to me :geek:

I agree, the Touch Guitar like the Warr is more oriented towards guitarists
and not Free Hands Technique playing.

Also, hands down Stick offers better customer service and support that
any of these companies. If you call SE they pickup the phone and you can often deal with Emmett directly.

The Touch Website is nothing more than an email link.

Out of the three, Yuta Chapman and Markus Reuter have been top of the game when it comes to customer service. I've corresponded with both, and each time my emails have been instantly answered. I can't get Mark Warr to even acknowledge my existence...

I checked out Markus' u8 a while back, and it's a beautiful instrument. As others have said, it's a different beast from a stick. More like a warr. Especially since it use bartolini pick ups.

Wrong. Take it back. Meaty bass sounds, ask anyone.
