I wonder how tough it would be to export from GP6 to Finale so that those who DO want a good Stafftab score could put one together from a GP6 file?

Should be possible with the music XML format, as long as it's notated on 2 staves (bass/melody side).

Fingerings and fret number info will probably need to be re-entered.

I sometimes use 3 staves; one for the RH thumb. Really, it's just a learning tool for me. If we could figure out a quick and dirty system for Stafftab, that would be awesome...

Sheesh Greg....Lorenzo did a pretty good job on those tunes didnt he? Copped those basslines quite nicely, he's obviously spent some time on the songbook. We need him on the forum....

Good job man!

Yes, Lorenzo has certainly gotten his money's worth out of the book. It's all in there!

Boy, it took a while to find this topic - I practically needed a machete to get through all of the posts selling cheap Chinese jerseys for sale with free shipping...
Personally, for each arrangement I've attempted, I've written a StaffTab chart for it. Part of that is because it's a great intellectual exercise, part of it is that I learn a tune faster when I write it out (the same goes when I learn a song on drums), but I think one of the biggest parts of it is because I can share the arrangement with others here. People are obviously hungry for material, because we get a "where are all the charts for Stick?" thread started about once a year.
I don't have much in the way of originals written exclusively for Stick, but this thread prompts me to do up some charts for the stuff I DO have, and get them worked up so I can at least be the first to record and release them. Then the rest of you can judge whether you want to include them in your repertoires or not.
:)

I got so bug eyed and brainwashed by the non-sensical, bizarre gibberish that,... in a Manchurian Candidate kinda way....... I actually ordered 100 jerseys. They fit great, and now I don't have to worry about what to wear tomorrow.

Luc, where ye been? Was going to send out a search party....send out drones..

cheers,
k

I do chart stuff on my whiteboard ( chord shapes not stafftab) but erase after I learn it. Maybe I'll takes pix of it now before I erase...
