Alto Stick Exercise
I've been somewhat overwhelmed by the STICK lately, under-educated musically unlike many of you and kind of struggling, bad month. This short sample from my Alto was really to try and develop right hand ideas whilst the left hand maintained something else. So I put it in method, hardly a showcase. At first I had trouble just tapping out even time with the right hand on a single note, got over that more or less. Just cant get a good take, so this is just 60secs of it for what its worth, a few slips , some other right hand themes coming together are missing. Temporarily on Soundcloud at the link if you want to check it out. Life seems to be interrupting Music. https://soundcloud.com/bruce-jacques-stick/missandie

Re: Alto Stick Exercise
I also like this song...and the tone of your stick is nice.

Would really like to see a video so I can see what you are doing as you play.

Re: Alto Stick Exercise
Sounds great Bruce. You really kept the left hand(bass) steady while playing creatively in the melody. I only heard one or two times toward the end where it varied, and it might have been purposeful since it went well with what you were doing on the melody side. Bass lines that don't accent on the strong beats are difficult to simultaneously play along with if you ask me.
