There's power there, maybe of the kind that Bach himself might appreciate (if he's listening). Scott's guitar sounds like a cross between church organ and harpsichord in both registers and the organ had the power in Bach's time.

I have to assume that Scott laid down the lower counterpoint first, then overdubbed the higher voice. How else could he have done it on guitar? That chugging lower voice got to me - lotsa drive from the right hand. Adds to the power.

Scott says he'll work on transferring this Invention over to The Stick. It'll be two hands in dialogue, a complete performance. A compressor clamping the bass voice might give it the drive, we'll see.

Transposing is often a good strategy when transcribing a classic or any song from one instrument to another. Yes, The Stick is its own world. Yes, it relates to guitar. The bass voice could go much lower on Stick, maybe an octave lower. Bach might be uncomfortable. I kept wanting to hear some 16th note shredding in the upper voice, somehow remaining faithful to the composer's line. "Bloedsinn", sagt Johann.
