Post A truly fun way to practice hand movement
You may have seen this exercise before, but if not, check it out, it's a really fun way to practice hand movement, and very interesting musically as well...

Greg, when you play it slowly I can see the hand movement. Specifically, I see your wrists moving up/down the fretboard. However, when you play it fast I don't see that as much. It seems like when you speed up you do more finger tapping than hand movement.

Am I wrong? If so, tell me what to look for.

A fair question, but technology has the answer....

You can easily check this out for yourself by slowing down the video using the "settings" controls on the YouTube window 8-)

There's no way to sanely play the traverse moves that fast without hand movement. A traverse is when you play notes at the same fret with different fingers. more about that in my Basic Free Hands Technique Lesson #4 video on Melody Movement:

This is the sound that made me want to learn the Stick in the first place.
