Post Bourrée in E minor For BM
Hey Greg,

I know I'm a bit late to the table on this one but man that's one fine arrangement and performance of Bach's Bourrée in E minor.

I found the .pdf for it here after a short search but I was wondering if you have a Baritone Melody version for download or will I just have to bump everything up a string in the right hand?

Thanks!

This video is one of my absolute favorites. Much to be learned here. The whole approach just resonates with me and pointed me towards my own directions. It’s on “speed dial” on my my YouTube :)

Hi Steve:

Baritone Melody version. I've been revising this, and it will be included in a book of Bach transcriptions for Stick I hope to get done soon.

Rod, thanks for all the love, man... We're all on this journey together...

This is a great video indeed! Also check out Matias Sorof and Josh Goldberg's version for reference. A great exercise, especially for guitarists and bassists in a very familiar key.

I have this one memorized and HIGHLY recommend taking up that left hand section up an octave, even if only in the second half of the piece.

I have started this a number of times and seeing this thread has renewed my interest in getting this second half of the piece tightened up. In listening back to my previous performances of this piece, it is evident that the lower strings do not contract nicely (perhaps, dare I say, as intended) against the left hand's line. Greg has noted this to me in previous conversations, so I'll watch this thread for more details.

I have not yet completed this octave up exercise, but if I can complete this, I will be sure to post it. Thanks for the bump on this piece and thanks to Greg for making this great video.
