Some more west african music. This one is by Ali Farke Toure and Toumani Diabate and is called "Gomni". It's really just a few riffs, like a lot of these songs. I made a few extra riffs and mixed and matched then to my current whim. I indicated the riffs with some rehearsal letter marks. when you see the legato marks, those are supposed top be slur/slides which musescore doesn't really do well. A lot of this song has to do with inflection and improvisation, so what you've got here is a straight-ish transcription that you can use as a guide, along with listening to how it's really supposed to be played on youtube (see link in comments) so you can get the right feel to it. https://musescore.com/user/30359691/scores/10689352 |
