I checking out this free software and I think others might like it too:

It is an aid to learning improvisation and it looks pretty cool. It's developed by a professor and his students. It's written in java so it will run on most computers. The above link is to the Yahoo group that supports it and you can download it from the "Files" section. There is also a new tutorial online here:
