I found 5th's straight across easiest for me... of course I am lazy that way... getting ready to order a ten string grand that will be MR.... |

If you want them to be the same, just drop the melody strings on the alto down whole step to the regular Alto tuning. Doing that would give you G D A E B on the Alto's string 1-5, which is the same as the MR Grand 2-6 You could also raise the Grand up a whole step on the Melody to Classic, which would have the same effect of bringing the two inline. |
