Greg, what is the difference between MR on a Grand 12 string and Greg's Extended Alto on a 10 string Alto?

The reference points between the two hands are two frets off. If you want them to be the same, just drop the melody strings on the alto down whole step to the regular Alto tuning. Doing that would give you

G
D
A
E
B

on the Alto's string 1-5, which is the same as the MR Grand 2-6

You could also raise the Grand up a whole step on the Melody to Classic, which would have the same effect of bringing the two inline.

Thanks Greg; I just purchased a Alto with your tuning on a 10 string. Thanks again for the reply. :D
