Looking for a dynamic/envelope-follow filter pedal (like And
On my laptop amp rig I like to use dynamic envelope following plugins on both sides of the Stick. This is awesome. I'd like to have access to this also on my indoors Fractal Audio and my battery busking Street Cube rigs. The solution must of course be two mono pedals. Any suggestions? Yes, the Fractal Audio indeed offer this effect but unfortunately the input follow function only tracks the summed input rather than the two sides separately.
Check out Andy's tone with this effect on just the bass side: http://andysalvanos.bandcamp.com/album/dream-recallSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He has a nice tone but the way is playing this stick is also amazing. I love it.

I almost finish to listen to this album and wow...I can see I have a lot more work to do to sound like this. Every notes is in his place, the feeling of each song has his own quality...well...a marvellous player.

Per, This page will lead you to option anxiety, but it's pretty comprehensive: http://www.pedalspluseffectswarehouse.c ... _s/201.htmbased on size and the coll little controller, I'd suggest checking out the JACQUES Trinity Wah. http://www.pedalspluseffectswarehouse.c ... _s/201.htmThe difficulty with the input control of filtering is one reason I have not gone with the Fractal Audio processor. Perhaps that's an issue that will be ironed out in future iterations...

Thank you, Greg! That page seems to be a complete market swoop-out (excuse my rude English, I'm overseas...). Thnx for the warning but don't worry about "option anxiety", I always try before I buy. I must dedicate a couple of days to wander around among music stores with my SG-12 to find the best option. On the laptop I use the multi effect plugin N20 from the Polish company PSP Audio. It doesn't add latency to the signal (does all its magic within the plugin buffer memory) and I managed to set up a perfect dynamic filtering preset. The Fractal Audio also sounds great for mono input instruments, but it takes a lot of tweaking to set the amplitude follow curve right. Since pedals tend to not allow that precise tweaking I guess it really comes down to walking around with your instrument and plug into the stuff to hear what it can do. My gosh, I hate pedals... but it seems I now have to get at least two. Actually I must 'fess up that I do use a TC Electronics Flashback Echo pedal with my busking rig and sometimes also my old TubeScreamer from 1980 on the melody side. But nothing beats a free stage floor and all your sounds as in-the-box-recalls.

Per, I hear you about having a clean stage. On Greg's "drool" website ( I never knew this existed) there was on pedal Robotalk 2 that could process two signals independently that might be worth a look and you only have to buy ONE pedal then. http://www.pedalspluseffectswarehouse.com/Xotic_RoboTalk_2_p/xtc-rbtlk2.htmBest wishes on you T-Wah Holy Quest! With your ears, I am sure you'll find the most grooviest organic and best sounding one ever! take care, Dave B

I'm sure I will remember to buy one if I spot one (they are discontinued, but I hang around trade shows and music stores and believe in good luck)

It has two filters, but I think it only has one input/output...

Greg and Per, looked like I jumped the pooch here-sorry, yes it has TWO independent filters, but it looks like Greg is right and there is only one input. So, you would need TWO units for each side of the Stick. You can blend the two independent filters together which leads to a lot of different tonal adventures. However, my recommendation still stands and does sound like it would give you the sonic excitement and tweeking you so love!
Per, this unit the "2" is in production, and you are right the original version is out of production.
Always looking for cost savings... sheesh take care, Dave Brosky
