Hey!

I'm working on a tune and I was wondering what left hand voicings everyone uses to play Major and Minor 9s? I couldn't find any in the Stick Book™....

I use those all the time in my Mirrored 4ths tuning. One of the reasons I use it is because I like closed voice chords with 9ths and 13ths. I know it's not common and I don't ever try to imply this is better. It has a different set of possibilities and sounds and I happen to like those.

Because the other is playing the melody.

I'm currently mapping out all of the four note combinations available on the minor 9th. I've already done it for the major 9 chord. If you're interested, I could upload it (it's hand-written so it may be a challenge to read) when I'm done.

You can play the melody in the right hand and add 3rds or 9ths to the voicings.

unfortunately the min9 is not possible like this

if you have the high bass 4th you can do this one
