In my tune Romantic Notions, the solo just avoids notes that were played fairly recently. It would be random except its following that rule, so maybe the mind picks up on the fact there's SOME kind of logic to it. It's quite an effective solo if you ask me. It starts somewhere around 5:1O or 5:45 I seem to remember.

Hi Werkspace,

your link doesn't work but a Google search produced that mto stands for Music Theory Online. I could be wrong but that's not really the kind of place that would be affirming what I've been talking about here. That would more likely have to be a link to modernist music like 12 tone etc... MTO is sure to be an excellent resource though regardless.
