Re: 4 Chord Challenge... I learned in the past 6 different patterns (basic ones) and then you can work your harmony on these to make them more complicated and reach very high level of complexity. Here they are:
Pattern #1

Pattern #2

I bIIIdim | IIm7 V7 |
Pattern #4
V7 of V | IIm7 V7 | I |
Pattern #5

I V7 of IV | IV IVm | I |
