Cool! I still work for that employer, still doing software engineering (mostly) and advanced Powerpoint in a silicon validation organization. 20+ years so far.

I turn 60 tomorrow so I think it's time I give up the cooking job I have done since leaving Berklee College of Music Boston, and become a full-time rock star.

I'm a happy retired man and I only play music...stick, guitar, bass, cello, piano, ukulele, melodica, etc...sometimes I write for saxophones, trombone, trumpets, flûtes, violin, viola, cellos, etc...

Hmmm

Yes, I'm yet another IT guy -- I'm currently a data specialist for a banking group's audit function, specialising in financial crime and payments auditing. Before that I was a programmer back to mainframe days (S/390 assembler and Cobol/Fortran before getting into database stuff).

So I have nothing new and interesting to add.

Although I do love my job.
