Hi Jzzb8ovn,

I am very sorry, I am not in Toronto, but I am fan of RUSH. And YYZ is one of my practice song for my bass.

Best,
Take.

It might not be that frets 2-5 are too quiet, but that 5 and above are too loud. The Stick needs to be played with a light touch. It is possible to play very hard (say at fret 12) and get a very loud sound that you will never be able to match at the lower frets (like 2-5). So maybe adjusting how you are tapping may be the thing to do. it would be nice if an experienced player could check out your Stick.

Greg,

I have small bass amp, PJB double four. It has two full range speaker only.

Best,

I find the Phil Jones amps do a great job on the low end, but the presence of the mids and highs is lacking. It's very hard to create a true full-range response with such small speakers.

Have you tried plugging headphones iinto the amp to see if the sound is also unbalanced there?

It could be that your truss is too tight, and so you just aren't getting enough "play" out of the two outside strings. Is the action really, really low? Maybe it's too low.

Hi Greg,

Thank for your additional advices.

I never tried to plug headphone into amp, I will try it.
Your confirmation regard truss, I noticed a certain thing, this issue started after adjust the tuning. So it may be occurred the unbalance between the strength of truss and the tension of string.
I also check those points too.

Best,
Take.

Hi all,

I would like to say thank you so much to everybody.
I tried to adjust the truss, then, my issue was absolutely improved ! :D
The sound volume of low fret and thin strings are totally getting better.

Unfortunately, the wrench tool that deliver with my stick does not fit to nut of truss,
then I used long nose plier, but it worked.

I say thank you to all, again.

Best,
Take.
