Anyways, I'm sure you guys will get your new instruments soon enough, and the freaking out will be over hehe Kind of funny in a way...

Society and Marketing these days make this even more difficult! I actually don't think waiting is very fun! ;)

Oh, I find all kinds of stuff very funny... hehehe The thing I REALLY hate waiting for is the time it takes to develop some kind of proficiency to play the damn thing. Unless you're a savant of some sort, It looks like a minimum 3-10 year process to just get a basic handle on the instrument.

If waiting is part of the price, and I want something bad enough I will usually pay it... But like anyone else, I might complain a bit along the way. I mean well, though.

Waiting: For the past 5 years,
I've been ordering items from China,
duty free, tax free and shipping free.

http://www.dx.com/
http://www.banggood.com/
They used to arrive in 10 days, but lately,
it takes more 10+ weeks for items to arrive.

I'm a sucker for technology gadgets.
i.e. cell phone blockers, stun guns, etc.

I design lots of cool stuff that I can't talk about.
James Bond would feel right at home in my lab.
Here are a few projects. http://jnaudin.free.fr/

Yes waiting for something is a pain, but in this case I'm am happy to wait - I was just getting a little impatient, so needed to share and what better place than here... Plus my wife wasn't interested in hearing anymore  Thanks to all who 'listened' its actually helped :)

I know that it's an amazing instrument and construction cannot be rushed; so for this particular piece of art I shall wait patiently...

.... And continue to trawl the internet for every last piece of Stick related info.

Peace

Good choice! I too would like one of those :-) Will make a beautiful and gorgeous sounding NS.

And I wish Chrispfingers a not too depressing waiting time. Myself, I faced nine months on my first Stick (12-str Grand) and changed my preferences, regarding color of inlays, when a sudden cancellation showed up at SE, which shrunk my limbo to just one week :-)

Thanks, Per!

Cambria is out of town but I Facebook'ed Gary Jibilian to see how the NS/Stick was going since today was 2 months and.... it's done! Quoting from Gary "...will probably ship sometime next week. The axe looks killer, and makes me think of Batman."

SQUEEEE!!!!

I was gonna call it "Lord Vader"...

... but I can probably work with "The Batman" as well.

I'll post when it comes! Yay!

[Adds more appropriate headbanging Batman. Sorry for the highjack! Cheers, Chrispfingers!]
