Stickup or ACTV2
Hello everyone,
This topic has probably already been talked about but I am over whelmed by all the information on here and cannot find what I am looking for. So I am possibly re-posting and asking for your help. I have ordered an 8 string bass stick and was hoping for the PASV4. As you may have heard, they do not make this anymore. I am willing to wait and see if a used one shows up but apparently this might take, um, forever. So, which way should I go? Stickup or ACTV2? Or any other ideas I have not thought of yet? All help and opinions are greatly appreciated.

Re: Stickup or ACTV2
For 8 string bass stick, stickup is not an option. You can only order ACTV-2

Re: Stickup or ACTV2
mm that's interesting, because on the order form there's only one pickup option ACTV-2 (as always was)

Thanks for pointing this out. I will touch base with Stick once more and confirm. I will let you know what they say.

Re: Stickup or ACTV2
The only options for your new SB8 order would be the ACTV-2 or the Stickup. We will no longer have the PASV-4 in production for new instruments. Stick Enterprises sent me this letter last year with the 2 options. They do offer Stick Up on my SB8 4ths but ACTV-2 is what I ordered last year .

Re: Stickup or ACTV2
There are a certain few here that like to object to my opinions so here it goes. I have some high end Basses that are passive/ active so I'm familiar with such. That being said I know nothing about these stickups so I can't compare. I'm sure there will be some more knowledgeables here who can really explain.
