A difference I noticed with the grand is that it does not have a divided truss rod. I think that upgrade was introduced in 2010 (?)

Per, I think that the short scale Sticks (SG-12 and Alto) never had a divided truss rod. Quote from SE website https://www.stick.com/about/innovation/truss/:
"This new system is used on all models except the short-scale Alto Stick and Stick Guitar, and the NS Stick"

Yes, you are correct. I was talking about the 36" Grand (of 2009).

I think the bamboo that is offered now used to be referred to as "medium bamboo".

I think the right answer was given earlier. When SE stopped offering the light bamboo, basically because it was so similar to maple in color, the "dark bamboo" became just "bamboo".

Thanks for the confirmation Greg.

Sorry, I didn't read it properly.

PS. I've added http://www.afstg.com to my links list. If you have a page of your own, please let me know.

Thank you!
On my own, I have a FB page for my duet with a singer: https://www.facebook.com/ChantaStick44

Thanks, but you may notice there aren't any FB links on my page at all.

That's a personal choice, as I choose not to use or frequent FB. Sorry, but it is just an informal personal selection of links, so it may reflect some of my own idiosyncracies. Most of the links are 'own website', bandcamp, youtube, and soundcloud.
