GK3
Hi everyone...I do have a GK3 on my stick but I don't use it and I won't. I bought it used and it was already installed. My question is: is it possible to leave it without damaging my stick? I prefer to play the real sound of my stick...don't need anything else but a bit of reverb. If you have any ideas about that. I can send you some pics. If I succeed, maybe I could sell it at a low price. I'm looking for a soft case...maybe a trade without money...well...we'll see.

Re: GK3
Took my off years ago , no problem. Leaves two small holes on one side and one small hole other side and remove the damper below nut on melody side.

Re: GK3
I did it in less than 30 min and these holes are really small. Maybe I'll just let it the way it is.

You already have your answer, but as reinforcement I'll add that my Graphite had a GK3 when it was offered for sale. I wasn't interested in MIDI so I offered the seller a reduced price for the instrument with the GK3 removed (which he then sold separately). As stickfingers wrote teh GK3 comes off cleanly. just leaving a couple of small & unobtrusive holes that don't bother me at all.
