Post New Strings
Playing in a rut? Need some new inspiration?

A set of new strings always seems to give my enthusiasm and playing a real shot in the arm. I just put on a new set of 6+6 Classic tuning mediums. Wow...what a difference.

Agreed! I just put on new ones too. Hadn't changed them since May when Emmett put them on back at SE. I even changed my tuning. It has energized me in ways I didn't expect. If you haven't changed them for a few months you will be amazed at the difference. When I played guitar on gigs regularly I changed them every couple of weeks. Stick strings last a long time but not forever.

Hi Walter,

I always recommend that you keep an old set around just in case something odd happens, like your instrument gets knocked over and a string gets damaged.

At this moment I think I'm covered for about 20 such incidents, and in many various tunings :)

I'm about to order a set of Gumby's. I'm going to Spain and if they make me take my strings off I'll be ready!

Hello,

I got my stick 8 months ago and was thinking about changing the tuning on it to MR and was wondering if changing it will require any adjustments to the bridge and/or string height.

Thanks, First time post
