I wasn't sure where to post this, but why doesn't Stick enterprises have an online shopping cart by now? I sure would make ordering strings and such a lot more convenient. I'm a student in Australia, and finding time to do a call during can be pretty difficult, especially with the time difference.

Anyone have any insights?

I think it's mostly due to the very custom nature of the ordering process most people go through. It can be a pain to set up that kind of web ordering system.

Though I can understand how you might want an online cart if you were ordering one of the ready-to-ship Sticks.

They also accept orders by email, btw.

Yeah i suppose most orders are quite custom,
But for ordering just a couple of sets of standard strings or a lead or a stand, and things of that nature it would be useful.

Last time i attempted an email order i didn't get a reply, is that rare?

You can pay with paypal (I did for my stick), but they'll send you a invoice over paypal after you talk with them. If you're ordering one using the custom form, they'll still contact you before anything.


It does also take a few days to hear back from them via email. Its easier to call them.

So, What should my ordering Email look like?
I'm just going to get a couple of sets of strings.

Is it a formal or casual thing?
What details do i need to provide?

I've not used paypal with anything other than Ebay before so i'm not sure how to do allll this stuff.

I'm in Australia and I have found Stick Enterprises to be a good company to deal with over emails. There is sometimes a delay in reply but I kind of expect that from a niche instrument maker.

I would just write down a list of the things you want clearly, I don't think you need to fuss about being too formal. And most likely they will reply with a price and give you an email address to make a payment out to. If you log into Paypal you can go to a payments tab and send money to an email address.
That would be how I imagine they would handle it over email, I wouldn't stress about it.
