Thanks Randy, I didn't understand the "die-cut" thing - I'm french speaking and some english words are still alien to me ;-)
I didn't get that either but from the context my guess is that it means it is cut out by a machine according to some pattern or machine programming?

your guess is correct.
do some googling on 'CNC machine' and you find out all sorts of nifty info.

This all sounds pretty awesome... I guess the only other question I have that hasn't been answered yet is: are there plans for a 12 string model?

That's my question also. I would think it would happen eventually. I'm hoping eventually would be sooner rather than later of course. Don't think i can bring myself to go to 10 strings.

If people think the profile is too thin, Wood inlays on the back similar to this might be cool:

I have two half fretless Sticks and the bass sides are covered with, I believe, stainless steel but might be aluminum. Anyway, tapping the string against metal gives an incredible warm yet articulate sound. This should be a cool offering

It would be my guess that the headstock will be bolt on, not one piece, thus allowing Emmett to use a thinner stock of aluminum blank.

Yep, I had one. Incredibly heavy but amazing sound and sustain. You could go have a coffee while that low E was ringing. :-)

That would be a cool custom option: glued wooden stripes to give a more "traditional" neck profile. I guess the wood should be a light and flexible variant, so that truss rod adjustments didn't pop it off the neck...

I was rather expecting this kind of profile, like wings for flying fingers. ;)
