I used my 10 String Stick on a gig last Friday. It got a lot of attention as usual however this time two people actually asked me if I made it! Was it "home made?" So of course being a wise guy I said "Yes I invented it and made it in my basement!" ........ And they bought it! Of course after a few minutes I admitted it was a Chapman Stick made by SE and gave them the 5 minute history of the instrument. Still, I had to laugh. The Stick is a very unique instrument and is still very unknown but it DOESN'T look homemade!! ......... Nice to know people think I'm so handy!

It's funny you should mention this; I just had someone come up to me today and ask me the same thing "Did you make that yourself - looks like it..?". (He obviously has never seen me wielding a drill). It's amazing how many Tool Time know-it-alls there are wondering the streets!

I probably have the only stick that spends some of its life on an offshore oil rig. A steady stream of people do a double take walking past my room wondering what that "thing" is I'm playing. I've nearly educated most of them now. Lots of questions of course, usually summarised at the end with something like"yeah.. thats cool"...which it is.
