Post Old style PASV4 impedance etc
Hi -

I'm about to get a second hand grand stick with PASV4 pickups, the old style with the 'knobs on top'.

Is there any difference functionally to the new style? Are impedance ratings similar?

Thanks for any advice!

As far as I know, the specs are exactly the same. The main differences are that the old housing was machined from plastic, and the new one from aluminium, and that the rotary switches moved from the top to the sides.
I moved the switches on my old-style PASV-4 to the sides, too (needed smaller switches for that), because I regularly switch between the PASV-4 and my home made EMG-pickup module. With the rotary switches on the side, the strings don't need to be tuned down in order to let the switch pass through. Within 3 minutes, there's another pickup on my Stick.
