I think this is the first aftermarket pickups I've seen for the Stick. Aero pickups are well regarded for bass. No idea how they would work for Stick.

To be worth the hassle you'd have to have something different enough from what's already offered. This one just seems to be a kinda standard style single coil pickup. I always thought one of those old Rickenbacker pickups with the wraparound "string through" horseshoe magnet would kick fat ass on a Stick. It'd be tricky making it stereo but it would certainly sound different - as would a couple Alumitones.

Joe has done a lot of custom work on this pickups. He blew us away at the NAMM FHA Stick Night in Anaheim this last year with a pickup that isolated the two lowest bass strings. It also had some custom work on the backside of the instrument, very unique. Living in Hawaii, it's expensive to send instruments back and forth to Stick Enterprises, necessity is the mother of all invention.

And, he's a really good player to boot.
