Germany's next Railboard :-)
hi there, Another newbie entered your nice forum and...yeah I placed my first order on stick.com . I am really excited about that...I will share my Railboard with you all as soon as my order has been confirmed. One newbie question (as usual ): Did you get an e-mail right after entering order information on stick.com or did you wait a couple of days? Greetz from Werder (near Berlin)

Re: Germany's next Railboard :-)
Welcome to stick land.
I've found that it's always a good practice to call Stick Enterprises after placing an order. When you call, you should speak with Cambria, confirm that she has the order correct. You'll want to get to know Cambria because she's the main contact, who also will be valuable in the coming months to provide updates on the status of your stick.
I also have a stick on order. Every couple of months I touch base with Cambria either by phone or email to check the status of my stick, i.e., where is it in the production line, an estimate of how much longer it will take to complete, etc. I try not to be a pest, but every few months or so, a friendly call or email doesn't hurt...also, you'll get tidbits of how your future stick is progressing.
Again, greetings!
Mark

Thank you, Markussz . I will call cambria next week if no e-mail arrives until then. Which Stick did you order and how long is your estimated wait time? (I heard about three to seven months)

Now begins the Stickwait, a sort of limbo where you're excited, anxious and wondering if and when you instrument will arrive. This feeling will instantly vanish upon arrival of the Stick. After which, you'll be planning to eBay all your instruments and get your next one. Maybe that's just me, but I doubt it. Cheers!

Re: Germany's next Railboard :-)
I'm waiting on a 12-string grand stick. At the time I ordered it, there was a 6-month wait. It's been 7 months since I place the order. Cambria said last month that I should get it in October. I'm going to sit tight. If another months goes by, I'll give Cambria a ring to see if there's an update on the estimated completion date. I'm in no real rush....I have three other sticks. This will be my first 12-string stick...can't wait to see if I can use the additional 2 strings to make better music

Re: Germany's next Railboard :-)
Markussz - What I've noticed is that the extra string on each side allow higher chord voicings. That alone provides some great musical options.
