Here are two threads which discuss that.

Re: Belts;recommendations?
Like the other threads say, I like the weightlifting belt. Although I think I bought mine a bit too big, so there's a bit of sag. It works very well for keeping my Stick elevated to my liking, but keeps the belt hook positioned with the lap dawg in such a way that truss adjustments are a snap. (Thanks for that tip Greg).
"I stole the idea from Kevin Keith" A phrase I whispered to Tony Levin after he asked me where I got my belt from.
What a set of name drops, am I right?

Re: Belts;recommendations?
I just use my pants belt. Less of a hassle, less to deal with when putting on the Stick.

Re: Belts;recommendations?
In an earlier thread I recommended a weight lifting belt. I got the leather kind and now regret it. It holds the Stick in a very comfortable position. But at the Interlochen seminar a few years back some attendee who's name I forget noticed the belt. After asking me how I liked it, he said "I bet your belt hook has a crack in it". Sure enough it did. If you are interested in a weight lifting belt, I would look for one made out of soft material. Or maybe just graft yourself on a kangaroo pouch...that might work and would be one less thing to have to bring to a gig!
