Organization
I am trying to spend time with my Stick again. In preparation, I followed some D. Brosky advice and organized my loose sheets. They are now in order in a 3-ring binder. My desk is clear. I feel so much better sitting here. Having a clear space can influence having a clear mind, ready to Stick. If your space is dirty, clean it up. You might like it.

Re: Organization
I agree. I cant write music with a cluttered desk top. (although it always ends up cluttered anyway) There is a negative energy to an untidy work area.

Re: Organization
Hi Sagehalo. What order do you put your sheet music in, if you don't mind answering. Alphabetical? Chronological? Level of difficulty? I agree with the clutter free, distraction free atmosphere. In one of Victor Wooten's songs on "Show of Hands" he sings(or recites) "If you come to my house, I'll tell you what you'll see. A house full of nothing, just my four strings and me." I can not achieve that environment at this time, but I think I could manage in a few years.
Congratulations on the organization!
Mike

Re: Organization
Nice song, Mike! I put songs in my book alphabetically. I know how hard the songs are. For gigging practice, I will take out the subset and put them into a smaller book. I also have a separate book for random music ideas I have, for the day when I will try to write a Stick song. The more I learn, the more I reject my early ideas, so the progress is slow. As Eeyore would say, "Thanks for noticing"
