Post laptop stand?
so, not stick related, but I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a cheap laptop stand?
I have a 13" Mac and I am working on my drumming skills.
I have found a bunch of free online videos for drumming, and I want to set up my laptop next to my drum kit so I can easily access videos and follow along.
Use a sheet music stand? Would it hold a laptop?
Thanks dudes!
Randy

Two stacked (empty) beer boxes. That or a small table.

Only the more expensive music stands would hold a laptop. Most of them are made very cheaply these days. The solid back steel ones are strong, if you get a name brand.

Did you try and see if a snare drum stand could grab and hold the laptop?

I've used one of the black tri-pod music stands from On-stage. The sheet music panel part is bigger then the laptop. I didn't keep it flat like a table though, I angled it down just a bit so the laptop rested against the lip of the stand. The panel has holes in it so if I wanted to I could put something like thin bungie cord, etc. Around the laptop near the monitor section and secure it to the panel. With the legs extended on the music stand it's quite stable.

Actually my stand is a Belmont, not an On-Stage (probably the same in anycase...)
