Post Sold: Nueral DSP Quad Cortex
I've decided to just stay in the Line6 Helix Ecosystem.

Edit 1/20/24: The Quad Cortex is sold.

I typically perform weekly in a 100+ year old wine tasting room so it's not been used in a harsh environment. As shown in the pic it will work world wide with the included adapters I’m I’m pretty much using the Helix more, so this is getting less use now.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:
1. Huge processor, it’s basically a small laptop computer with a virtual keyboard you access the internet directly without hooking to a computer
2. Long loop times, display is similar to Aeros Looper when in loop mode.
3. Large screen, easy to see each patch on a dark stage.
4. All effects are top notch like their DAW plugins
5. This is the sister company to Dark Glass Audio that makes all of those high tech bass amps. Tons of DGA amp and cab models. Out of the other popular modelers, the bass player is not left out in offerings
6. Compared to Helix, AxeFX and Kemper, this competes more with the Kemper as it can model amps and capture certain effect pedals like EQ, compressors, and overdrives.
7. Small form factor with a lot of capabilities. Can be used on large pedal boards as well. This was the main reason I got it.
8. Solid build. All metal construction, built like a tank, the glass screen is pretty thick as well. The footswitches are also the control knobs.

Cons:
1. High price vs the amount of effects offered, compared to the competition
2. No dedicated mic input. You can hook a 48v mic into one of the two canon jacks, but then you lose one of the two inputs. Singer songwriters tend to prefer the Helix instead because of this
3. Power supply. I’ve not had an issue with this, but many people have demolished theirs and often buy spares. That’s why I advise using the case
4. New offerings wait time. I bought this after they released the looper. That took almost a year, and lots of public complaints about that. Compared to Helix, the updates keep coming and the better the Helix becomes.
5. Will NOT capture time-based effects like delays, modulation, envelope followers, reverbs, etc.
6. To share patches, you have to sign up for a Nueral DSP account and use their website.

Asking $1200USD+shipping. Includes original box and case, WW adapters. Roughly $1800 new nowadays for this with the case.

I found the same issues with my Tonex effects unit.
They wanted you to keep buying things so the patches would work.

I like my Helix Floor a lot and will never sell it.

The Tonex pedal still gets used from time to time,
but I'm not buying into all of the additional modules.

I did invest in a huge collection of IRs for the Helix.
I think that this was a really good investment.
Impulse Responses are a game changer.
I also use them on my Kemper Stage.
