To mahabresq, I would appreciate it if you removed "Stick" from your "the Aku Stick" logo. "Stick" is my trademark in the field of stringed instruments, also in the European Community where it is listed as a CTM. I came up with the word as part of "The Electric Stick" in 1972 and registered "The Stick" as a US trademark in 1978, also "Stick" as a US trademark in 1995 and as a CTM in 2001. Thanks in advance, Emmett at Stick Enterprises.

Thanks again Rafal, for yielding on this legal point and in a most friendly way. I hope your two Sticks are in good playing condition, tho after many years they might need some dressing of the frets and general adjustments or parts replacement. (Distance is the problem, I realize.)

And yes, I agree that an acoustic Stick model should be part of our product line, except that the criteria for acoustic construction works against the adjustable setup features that are so important for tapping fretboard instruments. They're hard to set up for uniform very low tapping action and to keep them that way. I have actually gone in the opposite direction with the new "Railboard" model where the only acoustical element is the slight "ring" of the aluminum beam but the setup is a breeze.

So far, we have two successful "AcouStick" instruments, both done at Bob Culbertson's initiative, using a classical guitar luthier's acoustic body and a Stick neck. Bob has one of them and still performs with it. The other is in the hands of Nima Rezai. (See both in performance on our Online Videos page.)

Thank you for your understanding.

Despite the passage of years, both my Sticks still playing like a dream.

Bob and Nima's acoustic works was for me the impetus to build my fake AkuStick. I know that not only I came up this idea. Despite the obstacles (which I know very well), maybe in the future all customer get to buy serial The AcouStick. Anyway, thanks for all instruments that have already been created and sell by you.
