There is some truth to that. Quality of affordability. I've had my current instrument 8 years now and have no intent of making any changes to it, it was a good investment and well worth it.
I've actually heard really good things about the gentleman that makes Krappys though, so there is something to be said about accessibility. I've heard he's willing to try whatever his customers want - so pros and cons of quality and affordability. Sometimes it's good to start with something inexpensive, to see if you even like it.
