Hi Norstick,
Where are you from in Scandinavia?
You should consider getting in touch with some players there. There are quite a few in Norway or Sweden who should be happy to meet and/or help you making your choice.

I'm in Norway, and there seems to be very few players. I've seen a few from Sweden like Per, and Denmark but none here sadly. We should do a Scandinavian stick club

The key stick player in Norway is maybe Francesc Hyggen Puddu, I think his nickname is Shedua511 (?).
I think he was in the past an official stick « Dealer » for Northern Europe, but I may be wrong. Guess he will say hello here at some point!

That's awesome Stickrad! I got first into music tech, and doing a lot of production work but then went more and more into contemporary composition. Haven't really been playing the drums the last 5 years or so, but everything else brings me much more joy to play.

That's wicked Norstick!

Great to chat and to hear about your music world.

Hey everyone, just joined the forums.

I currently don't have a stick, but it's something I'm very seriously considering (still not sure between a stick or a touch guitar!). I work as a composer currently doing a doctorate at university in music, and I've played drums most of my life. Bass and guitar have been a hobby that I've indulged in for about two years, and even then I was mostly consider something touch style.

Hello especially to any other people in Scandinavia!

Hi and welcome. Jan Hellman, Stockholm/Sweden, here. [emoji4][emoji2937]

Hei söta bror, looks like there's a lot of you guys around Stockholm!

Also finally got my Railboard and played it for the first time last night. Felt a bit awkward in my hands but I'm sure I'll get more used to it and I'll watch Greg's video on posture and such again. Looking forward to getting my books in the mail as well. Now... I wish I could just play but I have 150 pages of score to edit :(

A nice way to start is to take part to a seminar, more and less regularly organized. And I’m not saying that because we are organizing a week on stick camp in south of France in late August ;-)

Aye, can't give a full week in late August sadly because of work :(

That said, I've been loving my Railboard so far. It has a beautiful sound, and with some processing in my DAW it's really quite lovely sounding.
