This Chapman stick was completely refurbished from what the seller told me.. The registration number is #013 and the guy i bought it from got it in the UK When Emmett took a trip there in 1989.

That is one beautiful instrument, whoever made it, got it totally right... to me anyway.

I would keep it if I were you.

That indeed is a very special instrument.

Please tell me your thoughts on the doppleganger..What do you guys think?

I had it made for about 1,000 USDollars by a Luthier here in Brazil because I could not quite afford the prices at the time. I do not have stuff sent to me from outside Brazil because the import tax would be crazy expensive and I didnt know of anyone visiting Brazil. I bought the doppleganger in April of 2023..

The actual Chapman Stick I bought two weeks ago. I just happened to get lucky and found a guy selling his, so I bought it too.

#013. So very early in the restarted numbering sequence? Does it have an adjustable truss rod (pictures of the back can be interesting too)?

PS. Nice cat. :D

Clone looks cool, I have to admit. (While it is more important how it sounds and how ergonomic it is)

Looks like your custom instrument is 12 string, while Stick is 10 string. That's another reason to keep doppelganger for a while, to be able to compare 12 to 10.

P.S.
Also I would like to notice that you can add more than one image to the post. :D

That doesn't seem heavy for a 12 string? The SE Grand Stick page states "Average weight 7.6 lbs (3.45kg)(weight depends on material and pickups)"

So maybe wait a while before you decide what to do with it, if possible?

Keep it. Beautiful Tapping Instrument. 12 string gives you advantages.
