Here's the remaining pictures so you can see how it went together.
It works excellent. Nice & solid.
I originally tried to use the existing belt hook to make a simple stand, but it was to flimsy for what I had in mind.

Thanks for checking it out!

Very nice indeed Gabe. :)

I'm a fan of having the Stick on a stand too (or 'monopod'). My workmanship is indeed crude - my weak excuse it that it's a prototype - but it is nonetheless effective. Your stand is much nicer! :)

PS. Do you stand or sit at your stand? I use all my variants sat down.

Hello David & thanks for the compliments on the stand. I appreciate it.

I've been standing to play lately and am thinking about ordering the tallest barstool I can find to sit on. I have several stools around my shop, but none taller than 24".

This is the only swivel stool in this style that I can find that's tall enough for what I want. I just haven't wanted to spend the money.

I think the stool would be a nice option.

Cheers man!

I designed my own Stick Stand a while back.
I was always worried about it getting knocked over.

So, I designed a Stick Monopod.
In my mind, it's the best solution to the problem.

Nice work Gabe , looks like a great solution. I move around quite a bit when I play standing up , which is always , so not my thing, but I've seen similar in use by other players.

I’ll chime in here.

I have the taggart interface and used it for some time. For a time I was sold. There are a lot of plusses with these units….or any other similar solutions. But….

After a while I felt a bit disconnected with the instrument (picture Joe Dart with his bass on a stand)
I moved away from it and now I’m back to the belt hook, shoulder strap combo. I wish I could do the Culbertson “no strap” thingy, but I can’t take a load off Fanny.
